Austin, TX Photographer
Action. Light. Connection.
Great photography lives in the in-between moments: the glance before a smile, the subtle movement, the spark of presence. I’m drawn to three things in every shoot: action, light, and connection. Life isn’t static, and neither are the best photos. I aim to capture people in motion, not just physically, but emotionally. Whether it’s a family playing in the backyard, a speaker mid-thought, or a quiet exchange between friends, I look for images that feel alive.
I chase natural light when possible and shape it when needed, always looking for the angles, warmth, and contrast that make a scene breathe. But at the heart of it all is connection: between people, between subject and setting, between photographer and the moment. I work to make people feel at ease, to draw out what’s real, and to reflect it honestly through the lens. That’s the goal every time I pick up my camera: not just to take pictures, but to make images that move, glow, and speak.

Caleb Jost
Hey, I’m Caleb, a creative, traveler, and storyteller based in Austin, Texas.
I didn’t start out with a camera in hand. For years, I built a business in design and digital marketing, helping companies express themselves online and find clientele. But photography spoke to me as a more human, physical opportunity to slow down, look closely, and capture the moments that make life meaningful.
My work is rooted in connection: between people, places, light, and emotion. I believe connection is what makes life worth living.
I’ve traveled and lived across four continents with a backpack, a journal, and now a camera. I bring the curiosity and openness I've developed over all those wandering years to every shoot.
If there’s a story you want to tell, be it personal, professional, or somewhere in between, I’d love to help you tell it.
